This is not an uncommon response to past life regression (PLR) or other hypnotherapy sessions.

My answer is “does it matter?”

If we can get meaning from a dream, a fable, a parable, a movie, etc., then why do we have to know that what we experienced was real? A better question is “did it ring true for me? Was the information helpful? Did I find a new way to look at an old story?” If yes, then let go of what’s real in favor of what’s really important.

PLR is like engaging in a deep meditation guided by a trained professional that allows you to get the information that is of the greatest help. The secret is to have a centering question so you can be shown the most important information for you at this time. For example, some people want to know if they were ever a pirate. Fun, but it is helpful? If you have a need to conquer, to steal, to sail the seven seas in a hearty way, you might ask instead what in my past lives led me to this desire? Then just let go of what ever happens and be open to the experience. Maybe you were a pirate, maybe it was an experience that taught you to be on your own or maybe it is just the next lesson in your life. Maybe that experience is coloring your life now even though the experience is no longer relevant. What is the experience you brought forward that no longer serves you or is serving you brilliantly this time around?

I really hate to cook. It feels like drudgery and nerve-wracking work. After experiencing past life regressions, I know why. I have had several past lives where I was the cook for a large, wealthy family who entertained constantly and one where I was responsible for feeding large work crews and another where I ran a bakery that was the only source of revenue for my large, extended family. Each time, my talent as a cook or baker trapped me in a lifelong obligation. Now when I cook, I remind myself that the stakes are very low and I can do so without fear of having my life become consumed by it.

As a psychic I rarely get glimpses into past lives. When it does happen, I of course share it with my client. I have found, however, that the greatest insights happen when people can discover them for themselves. That moment when the light goes on and things are just that much clearer. After each session, our frontal lobe rushes in to try to rationalize what was a profound experience possibly without vocabulary. Hang on to the feeling. Let it be true for you in that moment. Let it inform you without explanation. In that way, it is very real.

Past life regressions are a safe way to explore current events, patterns, or unexplained feelings in this lifetime. If you’d like more information, schedule a free 20 minute discovery call to see if this approach is right for you.
